Title: Shaving Brush
Post by: debodun on August 02, 2017, 12:51:03 PM
I assume that is what this item is. However, I was puzzled by the stubby metal disk handle. Other shaving brushes I've seen pics of had longer handles. Unless it was meant to fit into a longer handle. The overall length is 2 inches. Any comments?

You're are right: that is the "knot" that would fit into the handle. The better brushes were made to be able to replace the knot, when one wore out, or if you wanted to change from boar to horse hair etc.
