Found at estate sale - these lovely Duck Sculptures or bookends - there is a pair (1 shown). They weigh 5 lbs each and measure 7 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 3 1/4" deep. Not certain what they are made of - brass or bronze or other metals - I even searched for spelter. They are very detailed. They are dark like bronze and they have gold glimers throughout. I have searched the web and have found nothing like these - although I did find a spelter pair of ducks on marble but they were not this detailed. They have green felt on the bottom. Any thoughts on material, history, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks, Mikie

I did find this one under Antiques,Decorative Arts, Metalware on E-bay for 160.00. Very detailed like the set I have, but theirs looks older, is smaller, and there is only 1.

It probably is older but I don`t think its the same maker !!

I think these may be your ducks:

Believe the last ones posted by SophieMarie are the same! Good job!
Believe the price range in my area would be $80 - $125 (depending on condition/marble color/patina) for a large pair and yours would be in a medium range bookends so $50 - $90.
