Title: Found a box with my father's Army and childhood mementos
Post by: debodun on September 19, 2017, 11:50:01 AM: In a dusty drawer all in a C.C.C. (Civilian Conservation Corps) box (9.25" long, 6.25" wide, 2" deep). The Army items are fairly easy to research, but I wanted to know a ballpark value on the C.C.C. box and Jr. Birdmen of America and Capt. Hawks Sky Patrol lapel pins.

They are the priceless pieces that give us the most joy. No monetary value can truly be placed on them for us. I hope you keep them and cherish them!

Read the last sentence in that paragraph !! That was struck down because it violated the first amendment,,freedom of speech !!
So as it stands today,,you can tell people anything you want to but you can not put the medals authorized by congress and present your self as the one who won them !! If you do with the Medal of Honor it can get you a stay in prison !!

Laws about military uniforms have become more strict today as well because of terrorism....
