Title: Paris Painting "Hiroyshi Shimada"
Post by: susiecat on October 23, 2017, 11:50:31 PM: I don't know nothing about artist,I googled but found nothing.Tried art sites still nothing.Anybody know this artist or any of his work I can look at.

Post by: SophieMarie on December 19, 2017, 12:55:40 AM: Ok, so here is where I am going with this one. The first time I saw this post, I focused on the name written on the back of the canvas. And, like Ipcress, I came up with abstract art.

But, when I blew up the bottom right side of your painting, I thought (just thought) there was a signature so I concentrated on that only.

I'm thinking that your artist is actually Saburo Shimada; not Hiroyshi Shimada. And if I only saw this once, I would have said, "that's weird". But when I saw it twice, I said "hmmm".

Said Hiroshi Shimada was born in 1948 so may have been about the same time period !! I couldn`t see the signature on front even with the site enlargement !!
