New buy and would like your comments on it . thanks
-
Comments on it’s aesthetics or it’s authenticity ?
-
Both would be nice ;D

Not my cup of tea although I can understand the interest in his work. His figures are usually more detailed.
Is that supposed to be a museum label on the back ?
-
There was a showing of his art in a rotation for the Museum of Modern Art in New York that started June 9, 1965 then went to Chicago MOMA, Los Angeles MOMA and finally San Francisco MOMA. It showed 70 sculptures, 35 paintings, and 35 drawings. It would be interesting to find out if this was included in that show!

If I was you I would contact the MOMA of San Francisco and see if anyone could help answer this.

Alberto Giacometti's signatures on file may be found here:
https://www.artsignaturedictionary.com/artist/alberto.giacometti
From what I see, the signature found on your painting, is used in lithograph plate prints as shown here:

Also, like the painting shown below, his work seems more complexity to me. Here is a link with some examples:

Thanks for the answers and like Ipcress said it's also not my kind off painting but interesting enough to find out what it is .The label and the remains what it looks like of a wax seal on the back could be real or put on as phony proof off authenticity . The autograph is looking okay and is painted in the wet paint like to be seen with a microscope ( usb microscope from Wish for less the 20 euro's ;D
Have already send the museum a mail about the label but no response yet as is . Found myself some pictures of his atelier with him painting one off his woman statue's . with the straight shoulders like in my painting of a girl with no face . So real or most likely a look a like painting ? Would be nice to be real ;)

Gerspee,
In this case, I want to be wrong and really hope it is real!!! Please let me know what the museum has to say about your item....
-
Well agree with you that it would be a pleasant surprise :o if it's real . Just have to wait for the museum to answer my questions mail :)
-
It would be absolutely wonderful....and I'll do cartwheels with you if it is :) Hope you are up to it!
-
Off course I am up to this if real ;D and plenty off money then to buy my own psychiatrist to treat my shock problems ::)
-
I hope it’s right and just a little different to his usual standard.
Without seeing it first hand the museum is the best chance of confirmation
-
Also think so but no answer yet from them . Probaly like the missing Van Klomp from Allo Allo ;) and yet unknown to the art world :-X https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drk7eggboJw (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drk7eggboJw)

Ah, the fallen Madonna with the big boobies.
Sunday night television in my youth. Wouldn’t get past the politically correct police these days.

That's the one and i will only say this once off course :P Had a message back from the MOMA New York about the painting and my questions about the label .Hello Mr. Spee,
Thank you for the new images. Based on the information provided, unfortunately we can not confirm that this work was on loan to MoMA.
All the best,
So not been there in a exhibition but not the words that it would be a copy or falsification off a Alberto Giacometti . And must be seen by more people to give me this information back. So still a mystery is it real or most likely a copy or in the style off :o
