vintage older Mexican sculptures.I have no information on them,What are they and what are they made of.
-
Look to be painted terracotta but do not look like Mexico !!
-
There's a sticker that has henco en Mexico, have any idea what they are called
-
Just means made in Mexico but does not look like anything I have seen !! Because it says made in Mexico that would mean an import so perhaps came from import shop here !! I would say no particular use,, just a dust catcher !!
-
They look like large chess pieces that you might find in a park.
-
Now that's a thought ghopper....I originally was thinking high priest and priestess, but that could be a bishop and queen!

1st Dibbs seems to think they may be chess pieces too (c. 1960-1969). Thanks for your insight and a point for your genius! Much easier to find this time around ..........

Mart,
I thought about that too....and the description says, "probably chess pieces". Also, I don't think the dimensions were given in the original posting...
-
If chess pieces there should be more than just these types of figures !! Odd that susiecats and these are the same !!
-
Yes, very odd Mart. There are a bunch of pieces missing....
-
I'm sure more than one set was made.I have just 2 and 1stdibs has 3.The taller one measure 16.5",the other one measure 15.5",hand made also.
-
A chess set includes 32 pieces; 16 for each player.
-
We are missing quite a few !!
