Hey all:
I just got this marble topped table in Missouri yesterday. It's round, 31" tall x 35" wide, so it's pretty big. I imagine that it was made in Michigan or Ohio about 1870. It still has all of its finials, paw feet and other details, though there are some stress cracks on a couple of the legs.
So what do we think on insurance replacement value?

Is this a demi-lune or round ??

It's round.

Victorian furniture has sure been bombing out lately !! I would say for insurance purposes about $1200. !! Hope you got a deal on it !! Does it look to have been refinished ??

Bombing out for sure :(
It has not been refinished. Got it for $300, so good times all around.
Thanks Mart!!

Good deal then !! Hopefully the market will pick up !!

Nice piece! You got a good price. Around here this would still sell for $300 - $600.
I agree on the insured amount.
Yes, the market is in one of it's swings. But sooner/later it will swing back and the fine pieces will increase in value/desire. (Just hope we are still around when that happens!)
