I got this pretty little monkey out of a storage. It's signed under the bottom.Has holes on bottom and on top.look like mabe a string should go throught it.I think it's an Ojiime netsuke. What's the name under the bottom,I'm not sure if it's ivory or what.I would love some information.

Hi susiecat!
Nice piece there. We have had a few pieces show up on the site over the years.
I do think this site may help some:
https://www.netsuke.org/page-1125375 (https://www.netsuke.org/page-1125375)
Just the coloring size suggests that it is either nut or bone. Bet one of the others will jump in with information soon.

Thanks KC!!! can you see the signature on the bottom.I tried to get a good closeup.Do you know the name or maybe it's a place.

Susiecat, are you using a phone to take the photos?
If so, there is a free magnification app that helps to magnify and you can take pics for a better close up.
Just can't enlarge it enough to tell. sorry.
