Title: ID Chinese Vase
Post by: Ram0672 on July 05, 2018, 11:43:54 AM
Could anyone help identify this Chinese/Asian vase.  It was a wedding gift to my great grandmother in the early 1900's.  All searches online have not helped. I have attached a photo of the markings on the bottom also to help identify this piece.

Thanks

It is Japanese Satsuma and was new back then. The mark is on Gotheborg, but without a translation. Look here under "recent additions": http://gotheborg.com/marks/satsuma.shtml

The top mark,, the cross in a circle is the Shimazu family crest !!  You can see several types of pottery with that mark on Mats link !!
