I don`t even look twice at some of these !! Pyrex, Fire King and Corning ware are back on my list !!
-
Wow!!! This is crazy!
I agree, all our families probably should look thru their cabinets!
-
I have several Corning ware pieces and the Pyrex snowflake divided casserole !! And mine has the lid,,saw one listed with out the lid for an asking price of $510. !! Surely no one is dumb enough to pay that price !!

Mart, the posted E-Bay link has the bid price, to wit:
Pyrex Space Saver 575B 2 Qt Casserole Starburst Turquoise 550C Lid with warmer
Current bid: US $280.00 -- [ 27 bids ]
It smells ta me like an “in-process scam”.
Iffen ya got a bunch of that Pyrex in your shop or flea-market inventory, and ya can’t sell it, then ya “create” a market for it by getting 2 or more people in “cahoots” with you, ….. and one lists it on E-bay, and the others start bidding it up.
And lots of people who are “watching” that bidding will rush out looking to find some to buy “at a bargain price”. ;D ;D ;D
-
You may be right Cogar !! I haven`t checked the bids yet !!
Mmmm,, I don`t know about the one I posted the link at top !! Three had 0 feedback but others looked good !! 27 bids !!
Did a little research earlier today and several sites said that some can sell for $4K !! Still going to keep my eyes open for that stuff !!

It's good to hear that something is creating interest with the buyers. We went to a auction last Friday, and the "good old collectibles" are dead in the water. For instance: I purchased a really nice large Ansonia Bonn China cased mantle clock for...$40. Thirty years ago I would have considered $240 a bargain!

Yep, so many things are still setting new record lows. :'(

Maybe its just the things we like that are setting record lows !! You know it runs in cycles depending on which star is collecting what !! Now that Martha Stewart has her shelves full,, Jadeite prices are reasonable !! I think we just need to watch the talk shows and Hollywood to see what the next hot collectable will be !! ;D ;D

WOW! I didn't know they go soooo high :o :o :o :o
-
Mart, if you look at histories/recent sales for the Pyrex Starburst they are all selling high bucks!
Back in October this year a black Pyrex Starburst with lid sold for $3,675.00 with 58 bids!
-
I saw one like that when I was looking around but forgot what the asking price was !!
