Is that a pump organ? Tell us about it please!
Yup, KC, that is a pump organ.
And it is still sitting downstairs where it was photographed like 25 or so years ago with the “green” Santa still perched up on the right corner.
Violet knew the family that owned the organ back when she was in her teens. And the man who owned it hired a man named Beamer to do some work. And with no money to pay him, he gave him the organ.
And now “fast forward” to mid-1990’s, we got a call from a lady wanting to sell some Carnival glass. And her name was Beamer, and she had that organ, …… and Violet decided she wasn’t coming home without it and it came home with us. And to make this long story short, ….. I took it apart, refurbished it, refinished it, and there it has been sitting ever since. And “YES”, it still works ….. except for 1 or 2 of those “pull” knobs above the keyboard.
Violet’s “memories”, ya know.
I’ll post pictures of a couple more of her “memories” that you and Mart will surely like.

Neat story!!!!! Hope you have it printed out and put with the organ so that the story gets carried on long after you don't carry on! :)

Love that Santa Bank! I had a Santa Cookie Jar that was one of my Grandmother's but one of the kiddo's broke it a few years back by accident! (As in broke into many many pieces!) :(
Here's what I have been cooking today! Macadamia Nut Magic Bars (Hawaiian Style for the Hubby), Sugared Pecans, Fudge, etc.... My theme this year is alot like me - Real nutty but sweet! LOLOL

Oh !! I see a bar and a half missing !! Now wonder where they went ?? ;D

MART, Hubby had a few and the rest went to friends/business people we see throughout the year (USPS, UPS, Trash/Recycle collectors, etc...) Made a ton and didn't even have 1 full bar! :)

LOl !! Sort of figured your hubby may have been sampling the goods !!
