Title: hutchenreuther lead content

thinking about buying pre WWII cobalt and gold bowl. cobalt and gold on rim only the rest is white porcelain. should i be worried about lead leaching out of the white part?   thanks for your attention   gary

From what I understand there are lead check swabs available. If you are using the bowl for decorative purposes I don't believe you have to much concern. I would not use it for utilitarian purposes. Further research should be done if your going to use it for other reasons.
