I have a 2-pc. buffet, it is solid maple. The drawers are stamped "R. Veal & Son Chair Mfs., Albany, Oregon, Est. 1892" I can't seem to find any helpful info except that I think they were still operating in 1955? Help!!

I don't know the value of your buffet but I too have a two piece R. Veal & Son buffet. The brand on mine, however, did not have the date that the company was founded. Mine does have the original flatware organizer with cloth cover. I bought it in a thrift shop in Arcata, California because it seemed so well made. I was later told by an Albany native that the company finally closed in the early 70s. He added that the company made a rocker for John Kennedy which was reputed to be the President's favorite.
