Title: WWII ESCAPE MONEY
Post by: Telerhythmman on December 15, 2005, 12:57:54 PM
I have what I'm told is some escape money from WWII. Apparently this was carried by pilots and bomber crews to be used if they had to bale out behind enemy lines.
Mine is in a beige canvas envelope marked F B D and contains five 100 French Franc notes, four 50 French franc notes, one 100 Belgian Franc note, one 50 Belgian Franc note and one 25 Dutch Guilda note.
Can anyone tell me if this is of any value please? I can't find much information on the WWW.
Thanks
