Title: value of 1880's English platter and plates
Post by: marjobe on December 24, 2005, 06:32:48 AM
China has markings as follows:  WEDGWOOD. T appearing above letters MKI, all of which are indented, number 2605 appearing above the number 6 and in the color red.  I have one large platter and six plates.  Please help
me if you are able.  My research has been fruitless.  I wish to sell these items but do not know their value.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year - -

I would need more info - pics would be a good starter front and back - but if that's not doable try here first to identify maker mark - there was Wedgwood and Wedgwood - - - definitely British but specifc maker can be important -

www.thepotteries.or g - - - use search feature for wedgwood and there's a wealth of info including backstamp marks - -

you can also try here:

www.replacements.co m

but you'll do a LOT of scrolling to find your platters/plates if at all

These are very collectible items and values can range from some pretty good bucks to lots of bucks -  it's worth your time - Best wishes.  KB
