Title: China
Post by: Judy L. Snyder on December 30, 2005, 08:24:29 PM
Can any one help me with information on "Embassy USA Vitrified China" it has a rose/flower pattern completely around the rim of the plates with gold trim.  I can't locate that pattern on any web site.  Can anyone tell me who or where I can find further information about the pieces.  I was told it was from the 1940's or early 50's.  Any information would be appreciated.   Thank you for your time and answers :) Judy

It's okay and thanks Tim - I was frustrated also in this search - there's not a whole lot of this beautiful vintage dinnerware out there - and no pics posted here for comparison

my suggestion:  if you need an insurance value

www.replacements.co m - find one of Embassy USA's pretty floral patterns that has a lot of pieces in stock - and do a ballpark figure - and perhaps your insurance agent could assist on that end also -

some other replacement sites: -

www.edish.com
www.robbinsnest.com

While they don't necessarily have your pattern they might be able to identfy it for you if you mail pics of front & back of a plate.  The retail replacement prices for this runs fairly high - condition counts for everything of course - Covered dishes/serving bowls usually command best prices - I think you'll find that a place ssetting of plate cup saucer salad & dessert will run $70 or more - replacement value    Happy New Year - KB
