Hello,
Recently, on a visit to a flea market, I have purchased a newly-framed, unsigned portrait displaying a figure behind which there is a lake and a castle. The painting resembles the portraits of the Italian renaissance, and it seems it really is old. The salesman, however, knew only little of the painting's origins. Any further information would be most welcome.

the image looks to me like a masterpiece, it seems familiar but i can't place it right now, that isn't really my period
but what you have is obviously a poster of the painting that has been framed, i assume the 'flash' is a reflection of the flash on glass and the frame is a modern frame that you'd put a poster in
