Title: IDing - round metal thing

i have no idea what this is. Anyone know or its value?

if that's a hole in the center - it could be a backplate or maybe the word escutcheon - - for a drawer pull - there could have been a round knob that fits into the center and then screwed in from the back -  or a dangly pull -  KB
