Hi,
I have a cup and a large pitcher that is marked-"hand painted above a circle with a T in the middle and Nippon below it." I have not been able to find any information on the mark. The cup is yellow with black on it with large pink flower and the letter t below the flower.
Thanks

generally items marked Nippon were before 1921. A good site to look for Japanese marks:
www.gotheborg.com
the site is large and takes a while to download. But find the section "japan marks". For those who are members I believe there's an appraisal service for a fee. Or at least there used to be.
For relative values try a large commercial site:
www.kaleden.com it leads to GoAntiques and select porcelain/pottery. Then further select Nippon. You might find something similar enough to your pieces to guestimate the value. Condition does count. Chips and cracks devalue a piece considerably. KB
