Title: Antique Chinese Teapot w/ basket warmer
Post by: cruisingal2 on May 06, 2006, 06:09:11 AM
I have a teapot with a padded woven basket.  It is an off-white pot with 2 dragons.  The lid has 2 oval holes in it and it also has a signature on the lid that looks like HU or HC, then an H in parenthesis which is "hand written" in the glaze.  The first H's line through the letter extends past the (H) and these letters are described from RIGHT to LEFT.  There is a signature on the bottom that is a circle, a triangle within the circle, then 4 japanese words/letters between 2 bars that go across the middle of the circle/triangle.  There is no handle on the teapot, but 2 holes on each side of the top that would accomodate a handle or a leather? strap.  Can anyone give me info on possibly the age and value?  Thank you.
