Title: Newbie help with markings on figurines
Post by: JunkNStuff4U on June 24, 2003, 12:27:18 PM
I obtained two figurines over the weekend at an estate sale, and have been unable to find ANYTHING on the markings they have.  ANY help from the members would be appreciated.  I can post pictures if needed, but here's a description.
FIRST, both are approximately 4-5 inches tall.  I've got a boy riding a hobby horse, with the name on the bottom "BE HAPPY", and a pair of crossed arrows.  I've also got a girl holding a clown.  The girl is bandaged up, and the name on the bottom is "The Patient", again with the crossed arrows.  Both have a gold "JAPAN" sticker affixed, for what that's worth.  Both appear to be vintage based on the crazing present.  I don't have the ID numbers available (I'm at work), but can post them later if necessary when I get home.
ANY ideas what I have??  Rare or pretty common??  Part of a series or individuals??  Any time frame for dating them?

THANX TO ALL!!!

Well, I've still been unable to ID these two figurines, but they're currently listed on Ebay if anyone is interested in seeing them.  The auctions end Monday night.
