Hello, I recently purchased a Meissen shell shaped dish due to the appearence, I wish to know a little more information about the actual product (Date/Value) etc. (or if it is a real Meissen). I have searched for hours on the internet with no luck, it doesn't appear to be on any website, leading me to assume it's either rare or fake. Please let me know on this forum or by email hx10@bsdmail.org. Thanks.

there are numerous websites to identiry the Meissen mark - but sometimes it takes an expert to determine whether its fake or not - is it under the glaze, over the glaze, etc.
one of my favorite research sites:
www.efineantiques.c om
they may or may not have your specific piece - but the marks may be there - or not
since your pics have disappeared, may I suggest:
google like this - meissen backstamps - there's quite a bit of info out there but again, the Meissen mark is the most copied in the world - and - don't despair - some of the companies who copied the marks are themselves valued - -

another good site for marks:
http://www.csbr19338.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/...n%20Factory.htm (http://www.csbr19338.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Backstamps%20pages/Dresden%20China%20Brandmarks%20which%20were%20not%20used%20by%20Mei%E1en%20Procelain%20Factory.htm)

and another site:

if I could figure out how to edit posts, I'd do in all at once - - LOL
