I have an antique headboard that with the detachable posts is over 9 ft tall. The headboard itself stands over 6 ft tall. It is a beautiful cherry wood with intricate carving and elaborate inlay. The problem is, I only have the headboard and there are pieces (probably finials) missing from the top of that. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can look to find more information about the piece: what was the original structure of the whole bed? what age is the bed? origin?
Thank you!

Could you post a picture? That would help.
