Title: Doten-Dunton Roll Top Desk

We purchased at auction a Doten-Dunton Roll Top Desk at auction.  We can't find out much about this desk but we did find that the same desk was used by J Paul Getty.  We can't figure out how old it is or what it's worth.  The auctioneer told us that the history of the desk is that it was originally owned by the Spaulding Family who opened Spaulding Hospital and Milton Hospital in Massachusetts.
Anyone know about these?

it was most likely,the style used by j.paul getty. they average $3,500.00 +

Thank you,  That's what I meant but just didn't word it correctly!!  We didn't realize that they were worth that much money.  I put it on e-bay for 350.00  and the bid is only up to 418.00 with a day left!!  It is too big for us to keep and we only paid 450.00 for it.
