Does anyone know the value of this or even seen one of these before? The only other lard presses I have seen are the metal ones that you turn the handle on top to press. The guy I bought this off of said it was made around 1850-1860 and it is from Illinois. I believe that it is home made because there is no stamping or plates or any kind of numbering on it.
