Title: Old anvil found at Grandma's
Post by: 4star4 on July 22, 2007, 10:47:39 PM
I have been helping my family with cleaning out grandma's house to get it ready for sale.  While cleaning out her garage today, I found an old anvil.  It is small, it weighs about 30 pounds.  On one side of the base, cast in the iron, is "MAR."  on the other side, "1680."  There are no other markings on it.  There are four holes on the base, and it has a short horn.  Can anyone direct me to a site about old anvils or where I could find more information on it?
