Title: Intricately Carved Lamp,Can any one tell me how old it is?

I received this lamp as a gift and would like to know what is made out of. It has some weight to it, I'm torn between marble and jade! I've searched everywhere on C.N. Burman Company and I get nowhere. It has the European outlet and the seal in the bottom is nearly gone.I'd like to know when it was manufactured...Any Ideas?

Hi it appears to be marble from the 1950s?
If a patent number is listed, it can be dated.
