I have just 'inherited' a complete set of Pirkenhammer China for 12. My grandfather purchased it while in Czechloslovakia in the 1930's which matches the hallmark (according to their website). It has a 22kt. gold rim. The set includes the regular: plates, bowls, coffee cups/saucers, dessert plates along with dessert cups, gravy bowl, large platters, large bowls, some kind of urn/bowl. How can I find out what the set is worth? I don't know the number of pieces - just know that it is alot! It has only been used a few times so it is in fantastic condition.
Thank you - Tina

tina is your set showing a pattern number?

No there is no pattern number. Each piece has the Pirkenhammer hallmark and then is stamped in 22 kt. gold. That's it. Thanks - Tina

first of all the 22 karat gold is real.it's a term used after the 1930's. replacement value, for insurance purposes. $1,500.00 dollars. resale value would be about half. trying to sell to a dealer. maybe $250.00 dollars.some of your larger covered pieces would sell in the range of a couple hundred dollars'
it's best to keep the set together.
