Title: nipon porcelain doll
Post by: rafe on January 04, 2008, 04:49:53 PM
Hello,
I have a porcelain doll with nipon on the back of her neck and a R E in a diamond under a B O or G or C. I wondering what it is and what its worth ...... ok wondering way more what its worth. It is very old, it belonged to my wifes Grandmother's when she was a child and she died in her 90"s.  All body parts are made of porcelain arms, legs and head are movable and eyes close. Truthfully its kind a scary looking ......got the Chucky feel.

Any kind of help would be appreciated

Thanks
  Rafe

your doll would not be considered a true ( nippon) doll the trade mark is not the ( morimura brothers) trademark. but would still have a value of $75.00 to $100.00 dollars

nippon simply mean's ( japan) the trade mark is and american importer.it was made in japan, but not by the ( morimura brothers) who designed the original doll's.
