Title: S.J. Moore Hamilton...strange 'machine'??
Post by: carriekinz on April 04, 2008, 07:13:31 PM
I would be graateful for any information regarding a strange machine my husband found today.  Heavy metal with a 'wheel' on the top that is turned by a crank.  Appears to be a metal working tool maybe?  Marked "S.J. Moore Hamilton".  (A few more letters after that but not legible, perhaps ON. for Ontario?)  Picture not available...forgot my camera at home.  Anyone recognize the name?

Great site.  Hope to know even 1/4 of what you all do one day!

Going to try to post a photo of this 'machine' today.  Believe the initial S. to stand for Samuel.  Could be an 'entrepreneur' from the late 1800s/early 1900s...but very little info found so far.
