Title: Old childrens cabinet 1920s?
Post by: rfroebel on April 12, 2008, 03:48:16 PM
Hello, and can I say I am impressed with the amoun of knowledge on this site. The story is as follows: I found this cabinet a few years ago, and it has been sitting around in the garage since. We are from the Western New York area, in the Northeast U.S. It is possible that this was something someone had made. The dimensions are 43" high 25" wide and 15" deep. There is glass on the doors as well. Here are some pictures.

Sorry only one picture uploaded. Here is a picture of the side. Hope that clarifies the problem with the dimensions. Would anyone have any idea what something like this would be worth, and if there is a definite way to tell the years it was made?

rfroebel, as I look at your picture and the objects in the background, the dimensions you gave of 43" high 25" wide and 15" deep ..... kinda confuse me. Especially the 25" width vrs. the 15" depth.

But anyway, yes, that would be a "hand made" kitchen cabinet (note the two different types of door hinges used) for someone's little girl.

Children's furniture is always sought after.
