Title: 1898 Figurine??????!!
Post by: forever_newkidsfan on June 29, 2008, 02:36:07 AM
Hello everyone I am completely new here, and to antiques period. However I have developed a new hobby Yard sales!!! and I have come  across a figurine that I could use some help identifying. It is appx. 2 1/2 in. tall. It is a girl and she is wearing a white shirt  yellow pants and a blue apron she is sitting on her knees and there is a potted plant/flower in front of her. And she has on a white hat with a blue ribbon. Now what has my curiosity the most is the inscription on the bottom which is mostly unreadable what I think it says is “Louis W. (can not see the last name) About 1898” so if there is anyone out there that could help me I would be really grateful if I could find out exactly what this treasure is that I have come across.. Thank You
I have taken 3 different photos if anyone would be interested in having a look…

I am not sure why you would not be able to see the pictures. When I click on the link it takes me right to photobucket where I uploaded the photos. However I do appreciate you trying to help. So in the hopes that you read this again I am giving you 3 direct links that should take you to each individual photo... Please let me know if this works better.. thank you

I tried the other one again ..... and still a blank screen. Maybe it my Vista OS thats the problem.

From your description I was thinking it might be a Hummel but not so after seeing the photos.
