Title: Big Statue in Ivory?

I found a statue, its very heavy for its size (around 15 kilos for 1 meter high) but I don''t know what material it is. Someone told me its Ivory. It comes from somewhere in Asia, but I dont know where. Its not from India because the writing seems chinese or japanese. Cant read what its written. Please check the pictures and you are most welcome to give me some information if you have any. Thanks a lot for your kind help, Michael

I would suggest resin. it also appears to be chinese in design the dragon's suggest that.
the elephant's are african in design' due to the fact they have large ear's. asian elephant's have small ear's.
made for the american market.
