Title: Kensington Manufacturing Company NY Desk

Does anyone have any information about this company and the furniture they produced? I have a large old  9 drawer desk with beautiful solid brass teardrop knobs. Inside the center desk drawer is an old label that states it was handmade in the shops of Kensington Manufacturing Company NY, Manufacturers and Importers, Decorative Furniture and Art Objects,41 West 54th Street. The desk itself is 30 deep, 54 wide and 30 high. I would love any information anyone could supply. Thanks

I have several pieces with this same label........told it was purchase by grandparents  in 1850's and handed down thru the family..I have not been able to find any information on the Kensington Mfg co of N.Y. ...so please let me know if any one responds.
