Title: Japanese tea/luncheon set with silver gilding
Post by: DLT1959 on November 09, 2008, 01:52:09 PM
Hi,

I inhereited a pretty tea/luncheon set from my Mom. I believe it was her Aunt's, so it could be dated from 1920 - 1950.
It has an eggshell look, with a geisha in the bottom of the tea cup and is marked KUTANI in silver on the bottom. It has the teapot, top, creamer, sugar, 6 cups/saucers and 6 plates. The painted scene includes bamboo , water, village looking at Mt. Fugi.

Does anyone know anything about this set? I've been researching and not found much. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
