Title: le mieux? 24 carat tea set
Post by: az5cats on November 17, 2008, 11:56:43 AM
We have acquired a tea set that is done in 24 carat gold and some pieces are marked Le Mieux China and others are marked Made in Czechoslovakia with an emblem containing a torch and the letters MCP with a crown above the emblem but they look the same as the Le Mieux pieces.

It has the gentleman and lady standing in front of a bench and under a tree.  We know it was purchased in the 50's in Egypt from a private party by an entertainer with the USO. That is all the information I have.

We have done extensive web and book searches but cannot find this particular type of set.  Any leads, or advice, on rough value would be appreciated.
