Post by: pek12g on November 26, 2008, 02:17:36 AM
I have a pewter mug/jug that is engraved with "R.M.S Queen Elizabeth" on the side and on the bottom it reads "Tudric pewter ware" with the number 6096 and made in england. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

The R.M.S Queen Elizabeth was an ocean liner built in the 1930's for the Cunard line. It was the biggest ever built, and remained so for fifty years. Your mug would have been have been part of the china used on the ship. As to value i'm not sure, but it's a neat thing to have!

Liberty & co. introduced the tudric pewter line in 1902 your mug would date around 1938 to 1940. should sell in the $75.00 to $100.00 Dollar range.
