Title: Pocelain figurine, stamped "Germany" "9949". Help identifying?

Hi all,

I'm new to the board. My computer-illiterate mother has tasked me with identifying and getting rid of some of the junk  ;D she has accumulated around the house. Mostly I'm looking for help identifying...every thing.

The first thing I have is a porcelain figurine stamped "9949" with the word 'Germany' inked across the bottom. It stands about 5" tall and  measures 5" across. Any idea what the proper name or who the manufacturer of this item is? Many thanks.
