Title: gold walking cane , simons?

I have this walking cane that i know nothing about. The logo seems to be that of "simons bros." I took it to a jeweler and it seems to be a high quality gold fill. Does anyone know what this item is?

your cane walking stick. was made by Robert f simmons & co who started in circa 1873. closeing in 1952. canes such as this at auction. have sold at $250.00 Dollars.
