My friend gave me a torch head the other day. I was looking at it real close today, and I noticed markings on it. Could only read with a magnifying glass. It says, Dental Mfg. Co., Buffalo, NY, pat Sept. 26, 1899. Does anyone know any background on it or how much it is worth???

Dental Mfg Company in Buffalo New York started in 1869 and is now the Buffalo Dental Mfg. Co, Inc. in Syosset, NY 11791-3933. They make dental/physician/surgical equipment for the dental industry...and torches were used for fillings, brace-work for jaws and teeth, etc. (Have an well-informed in-law who is in the dental industry.) They have a current site buffalodental.com but it contains no history. It's value will probably be with collectors of dental memorabilia.
