Title: alfred meakin plate
Post by: amiga on January 28, 2009, 02:44:44 AM
I have an Alfred Meakin side plate that I can not identify. It has glo-white alfred meakin england on the base with a crown. The pattern on the front is tricky to discribe, White centre. the circular rim is decorated with what look like greek or roman pillars(columns) and after every 7th one there is a wreath oval shape containing what loos like a soup tereen set in a blue maybe teal background. I hope someone can help I have searched everywhere. Thanks :(

that's a meakin ''shabby'' chic' pattern. also known as kitsch finding a set seem's to be a problem. your plate would sell in the $ 35.00 Dollar range in excellent condition.
