First of all let me introduce myself.
My wife and I are from Wisconsin and have been collecting and restoring antiques for a few years.
We find it very interesting and enjoyable, and if we play our cards right, an inexpensive way to furnish our home ;D
A couple of years back we found an old print at a garage sale. We have not been able to get a whole lot of information on it other than it was from about circa 1860-1880. The artist is Anton Pich and he was from Austria.
Do not know the name of the print but it is quite large.
The print measures 24"x36" and the frame is 36"x48"
Can anybody provide any additional info on this print and approximate value?

Anton pich. was working from circa 1840 to 1905 his print's average $ 3,000.00 Dollars. last auction records are showing  for a anton pich print was. $3,636.00. dollars

This one is nicely framed. about 1900.

interestingly enough the demand for his painting's are over sea's doing some further checking. some of his earlier work's circa 1800 1805. are commanding prices of $ 14,000.00 Dollars

Just to clarify, this is a print, not a painting.
Are the values that you are stating print values or original?

It's my under standing there print's. it would be in your best interest to see and art appraiser.

Can any body make any suggestions on how to sell a piece like this?
It is to large for our home.

If in fact prints are bringing the amounts that D&b quoted overseas (And he is really good/conservative at this sort of item).....I would contact an Auction house for the most $$$.  Find out all the costs/charges up front and in writing.  They wi


If they don't accept the painting or don't act interested...then it doesn't carry a high $$$$ value.  Ask questions!!!!
