Hello, My uncle has this chandelier hanging above his dining room table. He told us that a friend gave him this as a gift but since he has had a stroke, he can't tell us much more about it. Can anyone help with the year and possibly if this is in fact an old railroad car piece? Thanks!!

It look's to be oil converted to electric. which is Doubtfull the glass ( clear Globe ) appears fresh & new milk glass look's thinner than one would expect.
The electric socket's appear to be 1940's or so. Which would lead me to believe it's a reproduction.

Thank you very much for your reply! Any idea of it's value?

$125.00 Dollars should be no problem.

Scorpio, what you have is a 3-way Angle Lamp, circa 1890's until 1929. Yours has been converted from kerosene to electric which is not good ……. but which can be re-converted back if you choose to. Google and you can find replacement parts. In original shape - $1,000.

A post that mentions "steampunk".. gotta love it!
Both Cogar and DB's posts are legitimate scorpio.. consider both of them.
Excellent picture BTW.. if everyone posted detail like that it would be nice.
