Title: Old Oliver Tractor Thermometer
Post by: Kegfuel on April 10, 2009, 09:45:34 AM
The pictures pretty well explains it all.  I have an entire farm & house full of old antique farming items so I need a good resource to value this stuff.  I was referred to this website.  Thanks in advance everyone!

People are always looking for nostaligic items.

History of Craig Equipment www.centerforhistory.org/oliver_corp.html (http://www.centerforhistory.org/oliver_corp.html)

If I am seeing right (which is always debatable) the size is  approximately 9"  I woud give it a value of $35.00 - $50

You have a collectible thermometer, but not antique. Post your photos here for additional information. Lots of collectors in the farming community.

Kegfuel, I am sorry that I didn't come out and say that your item isn't an antique.  That is why I used the word nostalgic (meaning - something that helps gives memory brings up a sentimental yearning to a situation or time in ones past!)

Thanks D&b and Tim!
