Title: singing bird music box

i have seen them range from 1,000-7,000 and then some cheapones for 150...what to look for i know this is old and it works but ...is there some markings i am missing?

Are there any markings on the outside/bottom?  When the bird pops out can you see any markings on the inside without opening it up?  Are you able to open it up (without damage) and see if there is any markings or information inside?

Syl, I recommend that you contact this site http://antiquemusicboxes.com/ (http://antiquemusicboxes.com/).  They will let you know if it is a Regina music box and approximate value according to the info on their site!  Hope it helps!

its at my moms house i will try and examine it alittle closer tommorrow...i know shes had it around for along time the metal is worn..
