Title: Help identifing an oval coffee table.
Post by: g8tortail on April 21, 2009, 02:30:00 PM
[img]This table was purchased at an estate sale in northern Maine in 1985.  Other than that I do not have any other information.  there is a number written on the underside 3260d, I included a picture also.  I personally own this table and I am trying to find out if has any value. it needs to be refinished and it looks like the bottom shelf is a veneer.

Well I'm certainly no furniture expert nor period expert but that's not a coffee table by my definition of a coffee table.  It appears more like a library table.  The legs look almost Federal in style but there are real furniture experts on board who will clear that up.

Right, a library or a hall table. And if memory serves me right the feet defines it as Federal.
