Hi, I'm writing this for my Mom--she won't use a computer. She has a pair of Amber glass boots, about 5 inches tall, given to her by her uncle in 1960. He told her they were his mother's. They look very much like a Fenton glass boot I saw made from 1964-1975, but she thinks these are much older. I will send a picture when I can go visit her. Any ideas? Thanks!

It's very possible your mom is correct.''Whimsey's'' were very popular with the victorian Lady's. Gillinder glass circa 1876 was one of the first known glass company's to produce a glass boot but certainly not the last.
the quality of the glass. the weight. the texture etc. are indicators of age.
