Title: OLD GOLDEN BOX

Hi.
This box seems to me,its very old box and it is antique.
So people in here, can u help me,and give me advice of that,what is it,and what is it worth?

What is the size in inches?  Are there any marks on the bottom?

Can you tell what the composition of the box is?

My first impression is New Zealand....   Sure looks like a Kiwi on the top panel!

my first thought was. Chinese but it's brush finished japanese Brass.purpose unknown.

Agree that it is of an Asian origin....but that is a kiwi - only found in New Zealand and the other birds as well!  From the "Laugh In" era using Arnie Johnson's word...."Very Interesting"!

I have brushed it hard,and it sure looks like new ;D
yesterday i went to antique shop,they said that he thinks,its from chinese or japab,because there are birds like this,but he wasnt sure.
I really like to know the year of this box and value.
Maybe it isnt worth anything?
