Title: George & Martha Washington Chairs

Hi, Obviously I am new to this...I have 2 chairs that I am told are called George & Martha Washington Chairs. They appear very old, one dealer locally (So.Georgia) told me they were about 130 years old. I don't know much about them, we purchased an old house full of stuff...I have more pics and questions for later, but if anyone can tell me anything about these, I would be grateful. I am possibly looking to sell also. They are in very good condition, made with nails, on the bottom it looks like you can see burlap and springs inside. Maybe horsehair?? IDK. Thanks!

There not george & martha washington chairs. there victorian needle point. commonly called slipper chair's. the very low arm's allowed the lady's to seat them self's & put there slippers on. that needle point is intriguing. $500.00 per chair.

Agree with D&b.  Very desirable slipper chairs.

they are very Desireble due to the fact. you have a pair which is rare in it's self. the gentleman's chair is more commonly found in leather. if you' were to sell.they should sell as a pair.
