1920’s 30’s
In the 1920's or 30's my great aunt and her husband who was the superintendent of various national parks including the grand canyon, glazier, yusimiti national parks, accumulated Indian baskets and rugs. This is one of the baskets. Any information would be quite helpful!

That's a very nice basket you've got there , wbfounts .
I do not see anything in your photos that I could compare to , as to the scale of your basket .
Could you please give it's width/depth/thickness/hgt & etc. ?

I know nothing of Native American pottery or basket worth. I do know if it's old, it's good property. These kinds of things on the Antique Roadshow if it's older than 75 years, seems to be worth good money.

9 inches tall
7 inches wide

obviously very high quality weaving. To bad its missing a handle.

I have about 30 or so of weavings like that, but it seems we don't have an Indian basket weaving appraiser on here ;D , but what if I posted a rug, anyone here know values or rugs?

Hi wbfounts ...
Sorry that I can't be much help with small baskets .
I'll suggest you check out Len Wood's Indian Territory website .
They'll give you free appraisals via e-mail , if you follow their 'rules' ....
( indianterritory.com ) .
Happy hunting !

Wow, Thanks!! Kinda confusing as far as the instructions but better than paying a whole bunch of money.
